Felix Gonzalez

Felix Gonzalez is a Scientific Director at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he leads a team of scientists supporting targeted protein degradation programs within the protein homeostasis portfolio. A medicinal chemist with more than 20 years of industry experience, he has held scientific leadership roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, Biogen, and Amgen. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the discovery of multiple clinical candidates, including AMG 232 (navtemadlin), BIIB129, AMG 357, AMG 319, AMG 853, and AMG 176, while leveraging innovative approaches to hit identification and lead optimization such as DEL, HTS, and structure-based drug design. He earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, working in total synthesis, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh, working on radical chemistry methodology.
