Bret Williams
Senior VP, Research Magnet Biomedicine
Bret Williams is Senior Vice President of Research at Magnet Biomedicine, where he leads research strategy and molecular glue discovery programs powered by the company’s TrueGlue™ platform. A drug discovery leader with experience across both biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations, he previously served as Senior Director at Relay Therapeutics, where he led target selection and lead generation efforts and co-led the development of the company’s first clinical candidate, the SHP2 inhibitor RLY-1971. He earned his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed postdoctoral training as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow at MIT. He has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications.
